Summer 2022 Seasonal Openings

Specialist - Youngest at HeART

PVTC’s Youngest at HeART specialist will serve as the staff lead for our students entering grades K-2nd. They will introduce young artists to the world of theatre, supporting their journey to learn age-appropriate theatre concepts and terminology and helping them develop character using voice, body, and imagination. For camps with a performance element, the specialist will work with high school interns to review material learned in music, choreography, and acting rotations. They will attend project-based rotations, assisting designers in leading projects with young students. Finally, they will prepare young actors for their final show by integrating them into the cast of older children.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for and experience with working with young children. The candidate need not be a theatre specialist, but must be willing to learn about theatre and work with artistic staff to ensure success for our youngest performers. We seek folks who thrive in a collaborative environment, who love play, and who will communicate clearly with staff to support all students.
