THEATRE WITH AN IMPACT

Inspire Imagination; Encourage Compassion; Connect the Community

Children & Youth Classes

At PVTC, we believe that theatre does remarkable things for each individual. We are committed to helping every student realize their full creative potential. We celebrate diversity and offer classes to all students without exception. To that end, we have three levels of acting classes for children and youth, as well as classes in musical theatre, technical theatre, writing classes, and sometimes even adult workshops!

SUMMER 2021

PVTC’s summer camps inspire creativity, create connections, and spark lifelong passion for the arts. Campers immerse themselves in acting and theatre design in a supportive, fun, challenging environment. We will explore memorable characters, brilliant costumes, super fun art projects, and, of course, lots of laughter and friendships . Through our nine summer camps, we will create original shows, dive into scripts that are written to be fun and safe for our time, and hone our performance skills. There are high school internship opportunities throughout the summer, too!

The show WILL GO ON - WITH IN-PERSON OPPORTUNITIES! PVTC is thrilled to be able to offer in-person opportunities for every camper and intern this year. Our COVID-safe plan has been approved by our COVID task-force, as well as the Valley Presbyterian Church COVID task force and we are moving forward!!!

Join our dedicated team of staff members, interns, and fellow students to push the boundaries of what theatre can be in 2021.

SPRING 2021 CLASSES

Classes start the week of April 12th and run for 7 weeks

Classes end the week of May 24th

This spring, PVTC is pleased to offer a selection of both in-person and online courses to serve as many students as possible.

In-person classes will be held at our home on the campus of Valley Presbyterian Church at 945 Portola Road in Portola Valley. Classes will be held outdoors and all students and instructors are required to be masked and socially distanced during class. PVTC teachers will be vaccinated against COVID-19 at the start of our spring term and they are eager to work with students in person once again!

Online classes will be held on a secure Zoom link and will allow students to engage in creative theatre from the safety of their own homes.
