About Summer Internship Program

Portola Valley Theatre Conservatory's high school internship program provides invaluable artistic training to young theatre makers, building a sense of community that will remain foundational long after the end of summer. We offer opportunities to experience the inner-workings of theatre production from every angle. Each of our internships includes a uniquely hands-on experience coupled with mentorship and professional development.

 

Interns are integral to PVTC's summer camp experience. Over the course of a full camp session Interns will work in various departments and gain valuable professional skills building strong relationships with students and staff. Internships offer leadership experience and are designed to provide interns participants with training, support, and experience needed to achieve personal and career goals.

Summer 2024

This summer, PVTC will be producing one summer show. The choice to act or intern is entirely up to each high school student, but it’s an either/or situation. In either case, students will be able to serve as role models to younger students while also making meaningful connections with peers who are both acting and interning. The choice really depends on whether the preference is to focus on developing as a performer onstage or on the behind-the-scenes work of the production.
