ABOUT THE CLASS

Did you know that TYA (Theatre for Young Audiences) is a genre of theatre? This class is designed to prepare students/actors for creating and performing theatre for a young audience. We will be exploring creative storytelling through costumes and props along dramatic structure and connecting with the audience.
Join us for The Fabulous Fable Factory….Come along on this adventure as Monroe wanders into a seemingly abandoned factory and accidentally trips a lever, which activates the living factory of fable makers. The factory has been idle for over 2000 years because it has been missing the most important part – the “Moral Maker.” Join Monroe and the fable factory characters as they bring to life some of Aesop's best-known fables including The Ant and the Grasshopper, The Lion and the Mouse, and The Tortoise and the Hare. Monroe surprises everyone, including him/herself, with his/her moral-making ability. This script as has the opportunity to include songs and culminates in a performance in March.
