You’re Invited: 30th Anniversary Community Dinner at PVTC

Dear PVTC Community,

Despite the unseasonably warm weather, fall is in full swing at PVTC!

Each week, nearly a hundred students attend theatre classes on our campus. Each age group is working on something a little bit different. Our youngest students are practicing using their imaginations to act out storybooks, while our older students are playing games designed to build ensemble, devising their own plays, and working on scripted scenes. Partnerships with Branch Services, a day program for adults with disabilities, and Open Mind School, an inclusive tK-12 school, are also well underway, and we’re thrilled to be exploring the possibilities of theater with these communities.

Today, I’m writing to you with an invitation. This year, PVTC is celebrating our 30th birthday. If you’re on campus every week for classes, or if you haven’t set foot on campus for years, we want you to come celebrate with us! On November 9 at 6 pm, we’ll be opening our doors for a potluck-style community dinner. Bring the whole family, reminisce about your favorite PVTC memories, and dream with us about PVTC’s future. RSVP here

And stay tuned! Over the next few weeks and months, we’ll be back in touch with information about winter class registration, summer scheduling, our year-end fundraising campaign, and our annual Teddy Bear tea. It’s a good time to be a PVTC community member—there’s so much to look forward to.

Best wishes,

Maddie Zdeblick

A last gasp of summer! On Saturday, September 14th, several Shrek Jr. actors reprised their roles at Portola Valley’s annual ArtsFest.
