Looking Back and Looking Forward

Friends of PVTC gathered together in Lane Hall on Saturday night to celebrate 30 years of PVTC and pave the way for 30 more.

Dear PVTC Community,

Thank you so much to those who joined us last Saturday at our 30th Anniversary Celebration! It was a lovely evening, full of great conversations, happy memories, and voices raised together in song.

At the end of a very challenging week, it felt good to be in community. The tagline on our website reads: “Our stories get better when we tell them together.” This isn’t just a catchy phrase; it’s the core of what we believe. Inclusion and accessibility aren’t add-ons to the work. They are the work. Spaces like PVTC—spaces that boldly celebrate how others’ perspectives expand our own—matter now more than ever.

If you weren’t able to join, or if you just want the magic of the evening to continue, here’s a link to explore the beautiful timeline of PVTC history that Siena McMahon created for the event. If you scroll down, you’ll also be able to watch the slideshow that was running throughout the evening.

Towards the end of the event, I shared that in May 2025, PVTC will be putting on our first mainstage show since before the pandemic, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. This play tells the story of a toy rabbit named Edward. Initially quite vain and self-absorbed, Edward goes on a journey of self-discovery. As he meets people from every walk of life, he learns how to love and be loved. And isn’t that the whole point? Since my last update, your generosity has put us $10,000 closer to our year-end fundraising goal. Still, we have a long way to go. If you loved looking back through old photographs, or if you’re as excited as I am about the return of our MainStage series, consider making a gift today. Help us establish a strong foundation for our next 30 years.

Thank you,

Maddie Zdeblick
