Maddie Rostami

Associate Artistic Director of Inclusivity

Maddie (she/they) is a Brooklyn-based teaching artist, producer, and dramaturg. Maddie first joined the PVTC community as an intern in 2011 and has returned every summer since as an intern, director, and staff member. In addition to her work with PVTC, Maddie is a line producer for Cal Shakes where she spearheads the Shahrazad Squad, a community-building project for SWANASA women and non-binary artists. 


Maddie is a volunteer for arts programs that serve participants with disabilities, including COLAB in New York and ABLE in Chicago, where they also serve as a member of the EDI committee. They also read scripts for new play development programs across the country. Maddie’s favorite dramaturgy credits include eye c u (Victory Gardens Theater, Chicago) and the world premiere of Ever in the Glades (Kennedy Center, Washington DC). Maddie holds a degree in Theatre and Cognitive Science from Northwestern University, and she is a proud alum of the Berkeley Rep fellowship program.
