Portola Valley Theatre Conservatory's Summer Access Group will welcome young people ages 8-13 to the PVTC campus to experience the magic of theatre with their families/caregivers and peers. This program will focus on giving young people with physical and developmental differences (who may not thrive in a traditional theater setting) activities and supports to encourage creative engagement with the arts and positive interaction with PVTC's neurotypical campers, interns, and staff.

The Summer Access Group will meet twice on PVTC's campus (945 Portola Road, Portola Valley, CA 94028), once the afternoon of Sunday, July 17th for a multi-sensory creative drama workshop and once the morning of Thursday, July 21st to watch "Annie" and "Box," the camp performances of their neurotypical peers. These will be relaxed performances-- the audience lights will remain on throughout the performances, and ensemble members and families will have access to another room with sensory toys and activities should the performance environment become overstimulating. The "Annie" and "Box" performers will be excited to engage with the Summer Access Group, as their performances will come at the end of two weeks exploring themes of access and inclusion.

PVTC strives to create community and inspire individuals to discover their unique passion through pursuit of excellence in theatre arts. Founded in 1994, PVTC is celebrating 17 years of providing hundreds of students with fulfilling and enriching experiences in the arts. PVTC is thrilled to be furthering this mission by reaching  students with physical and developmental differences through the transformative power of theatre.
