About PVTC's Junior Staff Program

Portola Valley Theatre Conservatory's junior staff program provides invaluable artistic training to young theatre makers, building a sense of community that will remain foundational long after the end of summer. We offer opportunities to experience the inner workings of theatre production from every angle. Each of our junior staff positions includes a uniquely hands-on experience, coupled with mentorship and professional development.

Junior staff members are integral to PVTC's summer camp experience. They work in every department and gain valuable professional skills, building strong relationships with fellow staff and serving as role models to high school interns and younger students. Junior staff positions also offer opportunities to build tangible skills that allow early career professionals to achieve personal and career goals.

When does my junior staff position begin?

  • Junior staff members are on boarded remotely in April/May and will begin attending production meetings and staff trainings at that time

  • In-person commitments begin in May/June depending on your appointments
