Community Ambassador: On Campus Safety Host

PVTC’s Community Ambassador: On Campus Safety Host will serve as the point person for COVID-safe practices during 2021 camps. The on campus safety host will oversee sign-in and sign-out for campers, monitor rotations in outdoor classrooms, oversee sanitizing stations and restock supplies like hand sanitizer, masks, and lysol wipes, assist with set up of outdoor classrooms and group spaces to ensure social distancing practices are followed, and handle any instances in which protocol is not being followed.


REPORTS TO: Managing Director


QUALIFICATIONS & SKILL SETS: The ideal candidate is a responsible and organized adult with attention to detail.


WAGES

  • Part-time prep period (March through June 14): $160

  • Camp period (10 hours/week June 14-August 6):   $400-800/week


OPENINGS FOR 2021

  • Full-time June 14-August 6, 2021


PREP SEASON (PART-TIME MARCH THROUGH MID-JUNE)

  • Attend 5 all-staff meetings and trainings

  • Help set up campus with COVID-safe measures in place, including outdoor classrooms, signage, and sanitation station

  • Familiarize yourself with all COVID protocol and procedures

  • Familiarize yourself with check-in and check out procedures


DURING CAMP (FULL-TIME DURING THE SUMMER CAMP SESSION)

  • Arrive on campus an hour before campers are expected to prep

  • Set up sign-in station, replenish sanitation stations, check signage, check all outdoor classrooms and assist with set up as needed

  • Oversee drive by sign-in and sign out for all camps, including confirming daily health checks, conducting temperature checks, directing students to their first rotations, and enforcing the drive-by drop-off/pickup plan

  • Visit outdoor classrooms throughout the day to ensure safety measures are being followed

  • Replenish sanitizing supplies as needed

  • Ensure work stations are wiped down between rotations

  • Fill out post-camp survey

  • Attend post-mortem discussion

  • Assist with campus reset at the end of the summer
