Acting with Zoom: Yes, and…

Wednesdays | 7:00-9:00 pm

Ages 18+

Teaching Artist Luisa Sermol

$200

“Acting is behaving truthfully under imaginary circumstances”. This prophetic Meisner quote has never been more relevant than in this new Zoom world of theatre. Say “Yes” to this new medium AND continue to develop and sharpen your work as an actor. As challenging as our circumstances are in the theater, the “new” medium of Zoom can be a silver lining. Use the first three weeks to develop a monologue or two for your self-tape auditions--Be ready for your “On-line” audition. The second half of class will be scene work (or you are welcome to continue with monologue work)! Using a combination of different “methods” (Stanislavski, Meisner, Hagen, Barrish, etc.), strengthen your technique and use this time to make your work “truthful” and engaging. Some experience and/or knowledge of acting technique is required.
