What to Bring to Rehearsal

Every rehearsal students should plan to bring their script & a pencil. Students will want to be in clothes they can easily move in and in supportive shoes (no flip flops or Uggs boots). Students might want to plan to pack an extra snack & water bottle with them on days they have rehearsal. 

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

Rehearsals will run 2-3 times per week January through April after school at CMS from 3-5 p.m. (2-4 p.m. on Wednesdays). Number of rehearsals per week will depend on student’s role.

TECH WEEK

April 15-16 at Priory.

 

PERFORMANCES

 Wednesday April 17 and Thursday April 18, 2019 at Priory.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS

We are looking for parent and student volunteers to assist with "crew" and "tech" positions. Sign up's will be available soon on the left. 

As a reminder, please contact us if you know about a conflict or if your child is sick so we can plan accordingly.

Meet Our Staff

Daniel Harper.png

Daniel (Mr. Dan) is delighted to be working with PVTC and is excited to take the reins as director for ALMOST HISTORY! He has enjoyed being a Teaching Artist in the Bay Area for the past 12 years; instructing youth theatre at Menlo-Atherton High School, Starstuck Theatre, Campbell Unified School District and many more. His training comes from over 25 years as a performer, dancer, and singer. In his spare time Daniel plays board games, teaches at the Dance Arts Center in Redwood City, and practices magic.

Noëlle is thrilled to be partnering with Corte Madera School on ALMOST HISTORY. She has been teaching and directing at PVTC for over a decade and enjoys the creativity, enthusiasm, and relentless energy of Portola Valley students. In addition to her work with PVTC, Noëlle has directed at local Bay Area theatres and worked in the artistic/literary departments at major regional theatres. She holds BAs in Theatre & Dance from UC San Diego.

Stacie has been part of the PVTC team since 2011. She received a B.A. in Theatre from UC San Diego and worked as a Theatre Manager for four years in Southern California. She thoroughly enjoyed working with students and parents on the Corte Madera School musical SHREK JR last year and is so excited to be partnering with Corte Madera this year on ALMOST HISTORY. Stacie has produced and stage managed numerous Children's Conservatory and MainStage productions at PVTC, and has worked with a number of non profit arts organizations as a stage manger around the Bay Area and in San Diego.

Fred has returned to the Bay Area after 13 years in Kentucky. He has been involved with theatre for 43 years on and off the stage and is very excited to work with with Corte Madera on ALMOST HISTORY. He is also currently the Technical Director of Performing Arts for Sacred Heart Atherton. Fred's motto: " All the world's a stage, but someone's got to build it first."
