Brad Turner

Brad Turner is the Vice President and General Manager of Global Education and Literacy for Benetech. His team runs Bookshare, the world’s largest library of accessible books for people with barriers that affect their ability to read printed material due to blindness, low vision, a learning disability, or a physical impairment, with members in over 90 countries. Brad also leads the Born Accessible effort, driving systemic change within the publishing industry by providing standards and certification for accessible materials. Under Brad’s guidance, Benetech is designing and implementing AI-based technology improvements to improve accessibility of learning materials, focusing on challenging topics like science, technology, engineering, art, and math.

Prior to joining Benetech in 2015, Brad served as the VP of Marketing and Business Development at Inkiru, which was later acquired by Wal-Mart. Brad was the Founder and CEO of the first SaaS medical image and data management company for dermatologists and plastic surgeons, and he received his Bachelors degree from the University of California, San Diego. 

Brad’s three (now college-age) children came through the PVTC program, starting at age 5. With numerous summer camps and year-round classes, and with a few summer internships, they have all been deeply influenced by the magic that PVTC provides. 

Brad has been on the PVTC board for.10 years.
