Shakespeare's classic tale in the trees

Directed by Noëlle GM Gibbs

July 30-August 2, 2015

About the production

We are thrilled to announce a unique rendition of A Midsummer Night’s Dream coming this summer in four site-specific locations around the Portola Valley Theatre Conservatory campus! The evening will begin in our theatre space, travel to a redwood grove, then to a church sanctuary, and, finally, to our outdoor patio. Led by servants to the House of Theseus, the audience will move from location to location to experience this age-old story in an immersive way. We are planning a highly engaging and enjoyable evening for actors and audience alike and we’d love to have you be a part of it!

Age recommendation

Recommended for adults and ages 8+

Running time

We expect this show to run approximately 2 hours.

Please plan to arrive early for the performance. All shows will start ontime. Due to the site-specific nature of the production, our audience is limited to 60 people per viewing.

Additional Audience Information

Due to the site-specific nature of the show, audience members will want to wear stable, comfortable footwear that allows moving with ease. As a portion of the show will take place outside, be sure to bring enough layers to stay warm throughout the evening. We also recommend applying bug spray prior to arriving at the theatre.

All tickets for this show are general admission. There are no reserved seats.

A light dessert and beverage will be served as part of the production experience.
