FOR THE AUDITION

Be prepared to perform 32 bars of a Broadway musical theatre piece that best displays your voice range and ability. You may choose a piece from

the show, or sing something from a similar dramatic musical. Bring legible piano-vocal sheet music in the correct key.   An accompanist will be

provided. You may also bring an accompaniment track on your device.  A speaker will be available.  Please, no pre-recorded music with vocals or a cappella auditions.

Note: Give yourself every opportunity for a great audition~ if the song is memorized and shows emotion and finesse, you will present yourself in

your best light!

Your singing audition is your audition.  There are almost no spoken lines in the musical.  "The Snow Queen" will be cast by the singing audition as well.  There will also be a fun movement combination that those auditioning will be taught and asked to present with a group.  Print out and complete the

Audition Form.  Bring it with you to your audition, as well as a Headshot/Resume if you have one.   Please bring your calendars to mark any conflicts

and hand in with your audition sheets.  Hard copy audition forms will be available at registration the evening of auditions, however, we recomend filling

it out prior to your arrival.

IMPORTANT DATES AND INFORMATION FOR LES MISERABLES :

Fall music rehearsals will be held on Tuesday evenings, 7-9:00 p.m, beginning Tues., Oct. 13th.

If you are in another show and unable to make the Tues. evening musical rehearsals, you will be excused until your run is over.

There will be a FULL SING THROUGH for all principals and ensemble members on TUESDAY NIGHT, NOV. 18.   Attendance is required.

Rehearsals typically take place Sunday afternoons, and Monday through Thursday evenings. There will also be cast workday/rehearsals on the first

Sat. of the month, Jan.-March, plus a couple of additional Saturday mornings.  Not all cast members will be called for all rehearsals. A detailed

schedule will be supplied once the show is cast and the directors have a list of cast conflicts.  The dates you give us for conflicts are very important,

as we set our schedule based on the information that you provide.

Tech Sunday occurs the week before the show opens and runs from 12:00 to 10:00 p.m. with a potluck dinner.

Strike will take place after the final show, March 22nd. All cast members are expected to attend and help with the dismantling of the set, props and costumes.

HELPFUL AUDITION INFO

1.The character  list will includes age ranges for some characters, but the director reserves the right to call back people outside those requirements

if their audition is strong.

2. On the audition form, you will be asked which part(s) you WILL take and which part(s) you WILL NOT. You will be held to your word.

3. Unless you indicate specific choice roles only, you will be considered for any parts that the director feels are appropriate to your ability.

4. This show has an absolutely huge chorus and a plethora of solo parts for people of all ages. There are many (many!) supporting roles for this

production that will be cast from the ensemble. There are also many smaller ensembles within the larger ensemble that have solo opportunities. If

you’re thinking of not taking a chorus part, please consider what you’re missing out on. Solos will be cast after auditions.

5. Once again, your singing audition is also your acting audition!  There will also be a fun movement combination that those auditioning will be taught

and asked to present with their group. Actors who are invited to callbacks may be asked to read from the script as well as sing.

6.  If you are not asked to come in for Callbacks it does not mean that you are not in the show.  It merely means that we do not need to see you again

in order to cast you.  Many people who are not brought back for Callbacks will be cast in the show.

Check back often for further updates and participation information.
