Theatre Education
Theatre education interns work with a PVTC teaching artist to learn about creating theatre with students in grades K-8. Interns get hands-on time with students and are part of the complete production process.
Year-Round Classes
Intern during the school year in our intensive STAGES program with students in grades 3-8. Attend class weekly throughout the session. Help with games, take notes on blocking/choreography, work through set changes, and assist with projects. Work backstage or in the dressing rooms during the final performances.
Vacation Camps
Our Musical Theatre Summer Camp internship is the most popular each year. Lead a group of entering 1st-8th graders through the process of producing a play. Teach acting skills, help with costume and set projects, learn about the inner workings of a theatre, play games, and meet awesome working artists.
We also offer vacation camps during Ski Week and the Portola Valley School District Spring Break. If you would like to help one of these, please contact us.
Technical Theatre
Run the lighting or sound board, hang lights, work a fog machine, or build sets.
Stage Management
Work with our Resident Stage Manager on a MainStage production to learn important stage management skills.
Artistic Administration
Help out in the PVTC office to learn about critical administrative tasks that keep the theatre running smoothly and properly.
